SPS in a Standard 10g

Okay, I want to do a SPS only 10g standard tank. Anyone have a good lighting fixture that I can use? I've got everything else set. I guess this may end up becoming more of a frag tank. I need something that will set on top because of the layout of the room. I can't suspend and have no canopy.

Thanks
Scott

They have a clip on MH light, I'm not sure if its something that you would have to do any DIY to it or not though. I remember reading about people doing this a while ago with a fixture from home depot & they had to change the glass cover & drill some vent holes in it.

I do think Hellolights.com might have one thats plug and play now though.

You could use a T-5 fixture, that should keep heat down on such a small tank.

There are some smaller Tek fixtures you could use.

T-5's are probably your best bet. The "clip-on" MH's seem to be a bit more expensive than they should be, and you would just end up with a temp problem. I'm having excellent growth from my M. Digitatas under 64 watts of PC in my 8 gallon tall., and they are not "browning out". I would use T-5 if the bulbs were short enough, but the shortest T5's would hang 4 inches off each end of my tank!

I'm using T5s on my 30g and love them, so that is the way I'd like to go, but the problem is the smallest T5 fixture I can find is 24", which would hang over the tank. I guess 2" on each side wouldn't be horrible, but I'd rather have no overhang.
