So are you saying you change water weekly and it doesn't drop really hard on a wc?

clkwork: I have the same experience as you. I use TM regular and my ORP goes from 385-390 down to 290. Takes almost 2/3 days to bring it back up again.

well I use crystal sea and have used many other brands. not saying this salt is better than any other its just a cost thing to me because of the volume of water I have.. I was able to buy a pallet for very little compared to what it sounds like everyone else is spending. I make sure to let it cure a few days before I use it. cant say I have had any problems with it , it works just like any other salt I have used. this is the bioassay formula that I am presently using. who knows I might find a better deal next time around on some other brand, last time it was io next time who knows. when you switch you must switch slowly

Its TM normal, and not Pro. I change 10g on the 58, maybe every other week, and it drops down to 350 or so, but comes back up in a couple hours. Has about the same effect that feeding frozen does.

Thanks! So it's pro related.

BTW I did a 35g WC with kent yesterday and my orp dropped a whole 15 points........Much better than going down to 100 with tmppro.

I use OceanPure Pro, it has perfect CA and Mag levels, so you dont need to add extra like TM Pro. I've seen some really great sps tanks using this salt.
