Hey Clown, I have a quick question for you. I noticed on your back wall you have bulkheads, what are you using beyond the bulkheads? Loc-Line or anything like that?

Clown, Ok sorry to post this here, but only because it was an issue with your tank.

I took my water sample to a marine biologist, he said it could be one of two things.

A. bacterial bloom

or
B. Tube worms spanwing.


Again my apologies on the Glasscages thing I was thinking maybe they used the same silicone as you did Clown.

Anyways, as an update the biologist told me to just wait it out, and I did, it is ceasing, and corals are coming back. No more strings of bacteria all over my rocks now. Just a few particles here and there.

Sorry, to post on this again, just wanted to give an update.

I'm heading to store today to buy some new filter socks, and that's pretty much it. I'm gonna let it run its course.

PS I love my 9010, although I'm sure Id love a Bk much more but my 11 month old is priority over tank right now.

So it is bacterial?.. Tube worms were out of the question for me.

So now we know it has a life span.. Please document it as best as you can.

Mine didnt seem to have a life span at all. It would get worse and worse every day.. one thing i did realize was carbon would make it worse (its that bulkreefsupply carbon i tell you!).

Please feel free to post here as much as you want DV.. Maybe there really is a solution to this..

Senor , Finally mine is coming together .. I was trying to piece together a system 70 and was unable . I hope my luck with glass cages goes ok ( 36L x 24W x 18H ) . I also have a ATI powermodule , same model of course at the time it was out of stock and I had to wait 6 1/2 weeks from reefgeek so lucky you. ( Difference is I am going to go with black silicone )

Anyway My question is this , Would you if you could redo it have a different placement of your overflow? I am ordering tomorrow and picking up the 23rd.. I said "corner" but I'd like to know your thoughts and opinions .. ( I suppose I also must tell them that which corner I want it on , back side or side .. or full corner if they even do that )
