SPS vs Pom Pom Xenia... who wins?

If white pom pom xenia starts encroaching on SPS encrustation, who wins the turf war? Would the xenia overgrow the sps and kill it off, or does the sps have enough repellant characteristics to block, or kill, off the encroaching xenia?
Anyone with experience? Pics of the two cohabitating?
I ask because I would like to put a bit of the white pom pom xenia in my new nano (what can I say, I really like the stuff and want the movement and texture) which will be on a seperate rock island but I now how this stuff can spread. The tank will mostly be SPS specific.
Thanks for the input.

Don't do it! It is a weed. It will grow up to the SPS and eventually irritate it so it looses tissue and will slowly grow up the acro. Takes a while, but the xenia wins in the end.

i agree 100%..i have also seen this with clove polyps and green star polyps. when i had my xenia infestation i just started hitting a few heads with a kalkwasser mix every week or two. eventually, i got it under control.

Anything that can get to uncontrollable levels I choose to simply keep out of the tank. For example I think GSP looks really cool, but i'm not willing to devote an ever growing amount of real estate to it, so for now it has to stay out.

DONT DO IT!!! You will reget it, I promise. I did the same thing you did and now I have xenia EVERYWHERE and can't get rid of it.

Thanks for all the replies and input everyone. Rats! I was hoping the SPS could keep the xenia at bay. I really like the stuff and so does my wife. Since she agreed to putting this tank right in the middle of the main living room, I have to try and appease her a bit. I know she's not going to like a tank filled with just colored sticks.
She is going to want some movement.
