Mine is around 3-4 years old. It's 15" across.

I got a small about two months ago,and has already grown a new layer of scutes.They get pretty big.Good luck if you get one.

they grow quite large ( ~ 18" ) and as the others have pointed out quite fast ( 1 1/2" - 3" per year ) up until sexual maturity.

18" +/- and I have a Derasa (similar to Squamosa) that puts on about 1/2-1" of scutes every one to two months depending on water quality and Ca levels so be prepared for allot of calcium use
