SSC progression

Been wanting to do with with several of my corals, finally took the time with the SSC... After moving this last night since it's being shaded in spots, and shading other corals, thought I'd post. It has already out competed 4 other colonies and was now shading my oregon tort pretty badly, so was time for a little shift. It's about 10" across after being a small frag 2 1/2 years ago.

It doesn't fit in a shot with my underwater camera anymore, but here's a recent closeup

You have dates for these photos? Looks great, love to see the over time pics. Mine is just starting to color up, finally.

I like to see colonies that are started from frags and see how they develop. Thanks for sharing the photo growth sequence.

So, I've mostly pieced the timeline together...

Pic#1: 11/12
Pic#2: 01/13
Pic#3: 03/13
Pic#4:
Pic#5: 9/13
Pic#6:
Pic#7: 01/14
Pic#8: 10/14
Pic#9: 10/14

It's quite a bit bigger than that in the last two pics... I'll update this when I get my next pic.

Thanks for all the compliments guys! All pics were taken under 250w radiums in LBIII minis driven by a Lumatek variable watt ballast set at the 250 "hqi" mode.

I think you have a build thread, don't you?
Before I ask all the standard questions about your system, maybe point me at it..
Thanks!

Very nice Peter, I really like to see when people grow out colonies from little frags. That coral looks great too.

+1,awesome job peter:thumbsup:
After having it for so long and grow it that big,can you please share some of her likes and dislikes?Flow, light etc?

Absolutely impressive growth and corals look extremely healthy! Well done. Maybe someday I can make such a post. Gotta keep trying. :)
