St.Pete Reefer first Tank

LOTS of frags. The place is as clean as a freaking museum. Small showroom, but lots of variety, very clean, very organized, very clearly marked. They have frags at every price/experience level. They make most of their money through installing and servicing aquariums in professional settings, I believe... so that's why their showroom is so small - that's not the #1 money earner from them. Also why it's spotless - people see how nicely run the place is and aren't afraid to spend tens of thousands with them.

Awesome im going to have to check out to get some more color in my tank. Do you have anything for sale or trade?

I have been to many reef stores over the years, being an ex Tampa resident, I became a snoot by having access to FAOIS and Coral Corral... It is hard for me to buy locally now that I live on the other coast, I usually wait for a Tampa trip or buy online now... :(

Thanks. Still a lot of learning to do. Testing water today and will post results. I bought some new frags from a local on the forum. He had an awesome collection to chose from and great knowledge.

First item to change 1 more gallon a week for water changes so 2 gallons per week and will re test next month for results. Also no dosing with calcium and alk or as my test calls it carbonate hardness. Those will be the only changes for a month.

2 gallons changed and ive included 5 drops reef bio fuel and 20 drops micro bacter7 when I change my water. Other than that no supplements until next months testing.

You are running a protein skimmer right? Just did not see you mention filtration, if you are dosing bacteria and a carbon source, better make sure you have a skimmer, and a good one nonetheless... Just FYI... Keep up the good work :)

Sorry good point. Coralife skimmer and phosban reator in a deep sump that came with the dsa 34. I will show a picture of the sump setup.

Nice tank St. Pete_Reefer! I am also location in St. Pete and i am in the process of getting my 12g nano back up and running. It's been a freshy for a couple years now, and it's time to take it down and switch to salt.
I agree with the other reviews on Creative Aquariums LFS. I stopped in last week and the place was really nice and clean. I talk with the guys there and they gave me great info and didn't push me to buy anything so i'll be a customer of theirs for sure.
