Tested no3 still over 160ppm with water change and new sand. Maybe I should try a media product like seachem matrix. Has anyone tried it?

Nice tank St. Pete_Reefer! I am also location in St. Pete and i am in the process of getting my 12g nano back up and running. It's been a freshy for a couple years now, and it's time to take it down and switch to salt.
I agree with the other reviews on Creative Aquariums LFS. I stopped in last week and the place was really nice and clean. I talk with the guys there and they gave me great info and didn't push me to buy anything so i'll be a customer of theirs for sure.

Thanks ! Right now www.hpcorals.com is where I just purchased my new items and I couldn't be happier with service and price! AWESOME selection and knowledge.

Get that thing going! Would love to see pictures.

Just looked at my timer for the light and I've had it on for 10 hours :-/ I will bump it to 8 hours and see what happens. I may try and do a quick HD video.

I'm noticing very long extensions on some of my corals, even Zoa at the very top are reaching out for light. The lighting fixture I have fro coralife will not lower any more than 20-21 inches away from the water. I have plans for a new light and hanging from celling or wall. Also the coral life HQi is a 150w MH 14k. I'm looking at a 250w MH 20,000k with 50/50 compacts and blue leds. All of the lights of their own source of power so I can adjust them as to dawn dusk and moonlight along with 100% photo period time.

One item I changed over the weekend. New darker curtains in the room to be sure extra light is not looming in. Plus save on electric bill and stay cooler :-)
