Started Brightwells Neo-Zeo Today

I have been running prodibio, but the lfs just received the full line-up, so I dumped the active carbon in the phosban reactor and replaced with the Neo-Zeo media. This tank has just been established, brand new. All the corals moved from a previously established tank, so I thought I would create a thread to document my results. The only upcoming change is to replace the 10k bulb with a phoenix 14k bulb in my aquamedic 250 watt pendant. Anyway, here is my starting point, a FTS, notice how ****ed my corals are right now, all browned out......

nice rock work

Thanks,
shallow tank, not many options....

So I have dosed the Microbacter, and will start dosing the Bio-Fuel in about 2 weeks, depending on tested nutrient levels. I also purchased the Restor, Replinish, Koral Color, and Aminos. I will also continue to use Zeo-Sponge Power, and Coral Snow. I have been using voka in combination with the zeo products, aminos, and the full prodibio system. I must admit that my previous tank was starting to show very nice colors, but since this tank is new, I decided to give the Brighwell products a shot.........

theres a dedicated thread on NeoZeo already...go back a page or so...i also started a 120 recently and it is running the NeoZeo so it would be interesting to see your results..

sweet, I didn't even know Brightwell had any AA products out

Oh yeah, of course! If there is any sort of aquaria supplement or original chemical system on the market that works, Brightwell's gunna copy it and rush there version to market, rest assured!

Well at least he wasn't as fast as Prodibio, or Fauna Marin.
Of course you won't point those guys out right?

To the original thread starter, I am in my ninth or tenth week. My results have been outstanding to say the least.

I met and had the chance to speak to Chris Brightwell last Sunday for about 45 minutes before our club meeting. I'm going to post some of my notes in the other thread we have going, which should help everyone in starting, and maintaining this system.

Best of luck!

That cube is sweet, Is that 3/4 inch acrylic?

Take it slow, the corals, are already stressed.

Actually 1' thick acrylic....lol.... It is really a tank, no pun intended.....

As far as going slow, I added the media to a reactor, got it going, and already see positive signs, as far as polyp extension go. I am using only the bacter product and the media at this point. Nothing to really update at this point, I am in to day 3 now, I am seeing corals that were stressed coming back though....

How is neo better then dosing vodka and adding the aminos. sounds as if there are alot of different products to add once this is up and running.
Thanks
Jeff

Are you seeing any ABNORMAL brown algae growth? Diatom increase?

Dennis

No algae in sight, only 4 days in now, have not see anything abnormal yet, I do see the corals getting lighter tissue coloration...

lol.....I posted 1' acrylic, I meant my tank is 1" acylic... Thought I would point it out before anyone else had the chance......

CHUBAKAH, how exactly do YOU know what is growing or not growing in plyle02's tank? I asked HIM....the answer to my question is not in YOUR link. Chill out! You're running all over this board trying to defend Brightwell NeoZeo when Brightwell Neozeo dosent need any defending. It's a new method that people are discussing. There is no need to field and defend every question/comment about it that you percieve to be be negative. Relax brother!

OK,
to get on track, so everyone stays in the right frame of mind.... I am merely creating a thread to document my findings, test results, experiences, etc... I know about the other thread, I find the knowledge, experiences, data, and shared information quite valuable. I wish to share my results, and if anyone is inerested in sharing info, thoughts, opinions or whatever, it's cool.... I will be running the system exactly as outlined in the directions with the exception of restor, mainly due to the corals adjusting to fragmentation, my new tank, and lighting. Thanks......

I apologize for interrupting your thread plyle and appreciate you sharing your experience. I think this is a very promising system and love the fact that it is a fraction of the cost of the competition. Being as it is new, I think an open discussion of it should be allowed.

Dennis

No need for apologies bro.... I appreciate any feedback, I just did not create this thread to compete with another thread, I guess I am just sharing my new tank, and I just so happened to choose the Brightwell line-up for this setup. I really don't understand chemistry and biology all that well, so this thread is not intended to be a Q&A thread....lol..

LOL! I think "observation" is better than "guessing" any day of the week!
