Started from a nano, now I'm here

IMO those whole tank treatments can't be any good since proper treatments for ich aren't reef safe. I would take all of the fish out and do TTM then leave the tank fallow if possible.

I don't trust those "ich prevention" water claims by stores it is just low dose copper so they can sell you a fish without it looking diseased even though it can still carry the pathogen

Thanks for the great advice! I went to another local fish store and they recommended some frozen fish food medicine. Started doing that a Friday and the coral beauty ate some each day and is actually looking much better.

Agreed. Make sure it's properly id'd as ich. Then TTM to break the cycle. And leave the display tank fishless for 9 weeks. Never use anything from QT to the display or vice versa.

Thanks for the help! I'm trying a. Frozen fish food medicine and that actually seems to be working! Thanks for the help.

In my nano, I recently had a jumper... had the tank open for 1.5 years and yesterday he decided to end it. The female doesn't even seem to notice or care... I was actually about to break this tank down next weekend and sell them too :/
Never so fast did 45$ store credit turn into 10$

Oh no!! I've always marveled at the open tanks keeping the fish in... i guess it is inevitable

I tore down my nano this weekend. Gave it over to the inlaws and traded in the female clown. They set it up and put a pistols shrimp, goby, and royal grandma into it. I also traded in almost all of the green star polyp. This was the tank on its final day with me:

I have been trying to snag some photos of my coral beauty, but the phone scares him:

I also moved the nem from the nano to front and center. It is a clone of the one on the far left:

And the fish store had this crazy thing:

lol royal grandma (autocorrect) cracks me up. Anyways what is the "crazy thing"? I've never seen that before

I'm currently trying to grow GSP on the back of my tank. Pleased with the progress so far.

Autocorrect gets me every time XD

If you want a good GSP back wall, the key is to glue the stuff as low as possible as GSP grows very quickly upwards and slow downwards. My lush forest took 1.5 years to look the way it did.

Awesome. I use a magnetic drag plug and it is slowly creeping upwards
