Starting a log

Thanks James, but in reality, the 120 gal tank I had before would be holding this amount of rock just fine, but when I put it in this one...it all disappeared. I took Jeremy's advice and headed out to the Kinser flats last week and filled up a USMC dufflebag full of HUGE pieces of rock, yup, 3 pieces which nearly broke my back cause I took too long picking them out and the tide came in on my...literally. The bag got scuddled with water and it becaame waterlogged so, needless to say, I got work out that day. I am curing ir right now as we speak. Hopefully the pieces will fit in nicely allowing for more live rock and the height needed to place my SPS's high yet allow for the room around for the tangs and dwarf angels to munch on the algae on the rocks...

So you did finally get out to get some rock! Thats awesome! i was just out last weekend scurrying around trying to find snails. I didn't get much coral because I of course had some a bunch a run ins with a bunch of sea snakes. They weren't too happy with me, one chased me off from their mating rituals.

Yup, funny u should mention that...yesterdayt morning one came at me like it owned me...sigh...did the snaggelpuss and exited stage left...left right outta there!

Well, although I did like all the open swimming room, show us some pics of the new "scape". I like the leather, has it always been that dark? I have one that is pretty near white, I don't think its always been that way.

where are you guys fishing for your rock? I rechon I'll go out and snorkel at the Junkyard, seeing as my gear is still at the marina getting it's annual..

tank looks great Louis! the Chaeto clump is doing great in my sump too, thanks a ton!

I got all of my rock out off Kinser. You can walk out when it is low tide to get some good size pieces. All you need is something to carry it in. I did it on my own so I used my issued back pack and did a couple trips. I would suggest cooking your rocks!
