We have very similar tanks--same high tank, canopy and stand---I notice you have gone with T'5 while I have gone with twin 150 watt halides. This is as high as I could go do to concerns about heating up the canopy to the point of a fire problem. Even with the 150 watts we had to drill two 4 inch holes in the top of the canopy.
What is the break down in the T'5 you are running as I am into a real delima as to trade out the halides when the bulbs are due for a change.
The halides just don't penetrate far enough into the tank for me to raise the beautiful corals you have.
Thanks---gorgeous house and backyard by the way
Thanks
I purchased the IceCap retrofit from Reefgeef. I am running IceCap Ballasts to overdrive the 6 T5s. I have a 660 running the middle 4 and a 430 running the outside two. the outside two come one at dawn and dusk. I have 4 92 mm fans blowing in from the back. Page 2 of this thread starts the light build. My tank temp stays between 80 and 81 with the house AC at 80.
Currently I am running the following lamps.
Front
UVL Super Actinic
ATI Blue Plus
UVL Aquasun
ATI Blue Plus
UVL 75/25
ATI Blue Plus
Here are the PAR number for the above lamps in the same order.
PAR
210
311
345
311
320
311
I started with
UVL Super Actinic
ATI Aquablue
UVL Aquasun
ATI Blue Plus
UVL Aquablue
ATI Blue Plus
And am thinking of changing back. The current setup has a lot of blue.
