Actually, I have to retract that a bit, because I did go to the OC on occassion to eat at Rubio's back in the 1990's. In fact, I think that would be just about the only reason to go South of Palos Verdes.

I do notice quite a collection of LFS down in the Huntignton Beach area though. Seems like a lot of decent stores there...God I am ill.

That's too bad, but an unfortunate reality. Most LFS are just too undercapitalized to really compete with online businesses. Even with the significant markup they take, growth is still very difficult.

Tony, i live in Westminster by Beach Blvd. I plan to put the tank on the stand on Sunday. If you can make it that would be great. Taking the tank off the stand isn't hard but putting it on it a different story because my stand is 44" tall (make it 46 with the wood and styrofoam).

My uncle is in his 50's and he offered help. I told him not to worry about it cuz i can't afford to have him going down with back problem

Most of them have all type of Pests in their system. I do not want to take a chance. BTW, i do QT my stuff

Yep, it's hard to compete with "JOESMOE" operating out of his basement, lol. Then when stores DO close up, people say, " Man what happened to _________, I really liked going in there and looking?" I believe that lfs's are, unfortunately, becoming a thing of the past in most areas.

No problem bro. Dan and his brother will help along with a few other friends.

The stand, light rack and supporting legs made it to the shop this afternoon. It will be done and ready to pick up on Sunday. Sunday will be a big day for moving and setting up the tank

This sunday will be very very very busy since i have to move everything by myself, then unpack the stuff and put it away. I have got to get done with the move before i can move on to the tank work or else the wife will Kick my behind...
