Papa, i can't wait bro. My stand going to be 2x4 metal tube with 1/4" thickness on the wall. I may need couple seatbelt to keep the tank in place :D

Lunch, i used to have the same dimension tank as your except it is 24" tall. I used to have 2 waveboxes in there. I have approx 2" wave :D

Ed, you should get 2 in your tank as well. You will love the motion and sea sick :D

Terry, my wrasse will be fine. I am more concern about the 6301

Bart, you can get 1 more and get the same result. I have not max out the wave yet...

Thanks Jarhead......after seeing your ext waveboxes on the same end as the overflow you've shown it will work.....I'll have to get my builder to check it out......Again thanks for the past detailed pm's......Did you go 1" all the way around on the tank?

Jarhead - u put everyone to shame when you post video of your wave...nobody else would dare to post their wave now.... :D Ed

Aaron, thank you. Let me know if you need any help :D

Chris, it will work. I could help with the box dimension if you and hole drilling process.

Ed, i want to share my experience with other reefers who wondering about the other way to have the wave box without it being eyesore... I know there are others that have better ideas without spending lots of money :D

I'm going to take you up on the info then Jarhead....still alittle more planning to do before I finalize tank dimensions....still working out the wetroom details at the moment.......Have to see how much room I can stretch before the wife starts to notice anything!!!!!!!!

Talking about the length of the tank. I did an 8foot tank but i told the wife just 7foot. She knew right away :D. I got busted, took me a few hrs to explain myself... Make sure you discuss with her before you do it man. Unless you want to be in the same boat as me when the tank arrived :D

Have you tried it with just one Wavebox and one extension going? It seems like what you have is way overkill??? What height wave do you plan on running once the tank is actually up and running?

I wonder how the wave will effect the overflow once you actually have it draining into a sump. Im a bit curious to find out how it works since My ext. waveboxes are setup the exact same as yours on one side of the tank.

Where do you plan on mounting your Streams??? Ive been pondering that on my own tank.

My friend Chris (Reefkoi) run 1 wave box and 1 extension and he has approx 1.5" of wave. I agree with you on the overkill part but i kinda like it that way :D. I don't plan to run the wave that big when my tank up and running. I will dial the wave down a little by having faster interval.

It will affect the overflow a bit but not significant. All you have to do is raise your durso higher to the same level at the bottom of your overflow teeth. You can avoid guggling sound by doing that.

As far as mounting the stream, i will be using the wavy sea tunze holder attach to a piece of PVC and to the bulkhead mounted into the top brace. I will be working on the stream mount soon. will keep you all update with the setup.

So will you be draining the tank and installing a mattress for the next couple of weeks?:D

The tank is drained but no mattress install yet. She is very happy now after the agreement... Let just say i know her weakness..:D
