Did you see the silver thing on the side? that is aluminum cooling fins. That is for larger model. Mine does not come with the cooling fin which mean it doesn't have aluminum and Roger did talk about it in his forum that the 1073.090 can be run submersible for salt water....

Terry, i have two eheim 1262 that can be run internal or external. I try to keep the heat away from my tank. Consider the Profilux will be expensive

I bought mine from O.C aquatic. The 6301 pretty much for special order. Same size with the 6201 but larger impeller, 65w max, 7925gph..... The pump mounting is permanently glued into the motor block.
