Sean - just place the order. You won't be disappointed!
I think I will but I'm not in SoCal...I can't just order and pay when it gets there...I actually have to pony up the money first. :)

I also order the Red Dragon 8.2 m3 for the return.

Hmm, sounds familiar. Wonder where you got that idea.

It's OK, I see some waveboxes in my future. :p

Nice move on the pump. Very energy efficient.

tbone28,
How far left/right do the ATI's spread light from directly under the fixture?
An ich or two...a bit more?
Thanks,
Sean

Sean, it's hard to estimate what the light spread is. It might be easier to estimate with halides, since they are more of a point source light. T5's give pretty even coverage.

I just took a quick pic for you to see the "spread". I turned off all lights in the room, and opened the canopy. You can see the light spread on the floor.

I have the 8x39 fixture. It's 17.5" deep, and my tank is 24" deep. Keep in mind that you really just need the light over the areas you will have coral. I don't have any rockwork against the back or front glass in my tank.

Steve, what dimensions would you recommend for an external wavebox containing only one pump, not the dual monsters you've put together? The stock wavebox measures 4.9in x 4.4in x 11.8in. I'd look through the thread and find your dimensions, but since you've been tboned it would take me forever to find it. :D

Sorry Steve, we have not been properly introduced, but I just follow Terry around! My name is Jeremy and I'm building a measly 250g whenever my house sells. Been following your thread for awhile, just never posted before now. Your future tank looks awesome, albeit a bit tsunami like! Good luck with the upcoming birth of your child.

My whole body's heating up! :lmao:

Dude, do you know who coined this "T-boned" verb that seems to be catching on in RC?? Sang!!!!! :D

Jeremy, no worries. Steve will love you since you are a fellow BK owner (Steve is a BK nut!). Just saying  to a fellow BK owner/ATB lurker :p

hey tbone - how high is your tank stand? mine will be in the living room which is viewable from the kitchen table... so i'm thinking 30" -- is that about what yours is? (this place has an old, tall, built-in cabinet near where the tank will go -- that's where my BK will live.)

Mike, 5x5x12 is for single Tunze box. You will need a little bit of room in the back of the pump to remove and install. My 6" therefore it has plenty of room but that is my first design therefore make it big to be safe :D

Dudester - Exact dimensions I'm requesting from AGE are 5x5x12 just as Steve mentioned... just enough room to fit the pump and still be able to get your fingers around it.

Thanks Steve, I've decided on 5 x 6 x 12, since I need 6" of depth for the overflow box.

Oldtimer - Thanks for the confirmation.

Mike, that is one of the reason why i did my box 7" instead of 5. It is always nicer to have it match your overflow so it does not look odd.

Steve, you're not going with halides?

Sang, i am going to have 4 400w MH in the middle and 2 T-5 fixture run along the side to help with the spread.
