Stichodactla Tapetum verrucae

I have searched around a little bit here and I am curious if maxi-minis have verrucae? If they do does anyone have pictures and are there different colors. One search brought up a discussion that said that they do not have any visible verrucae which got me thinking about a nem I saw at a LFS. They have it listed as a "mini carpet" and I will admit that upon initial glance it looks like all the other pictures of mini's that I have seen but.........on the underside it has very distinct bright redish verrucae!! Could it be that they really have a mertens. I have to go and get some stuff this weekend anyway but if I can get a definative answer on "if they are visible" and "what color/s they could be" I might just have to pick it up as the price is just too good to pass on a nem that rarely seen.

Please all you maxi-mini carpet owners if you have pics of the verrucae post them up to help my decision.

They aren't always colored. In some cases they can be almost invisible - like H. magnifica verrucae often are.

As is with the case of my Haddoni as well. I was just putting it out there in case some one with a Tapetum wasn't sure what I was talking about. I know there are many threads out there with people who have them so I am trying to figure out if the have visible verracue and if so what color they are or if they are clear like Haddoni and Magnifica.

Ok i won't pretend i understand what your talking about (not a nem guy) but all of my three mini maxis have red patches on the bottom. I don't have any pictures as they are all attached and hug the rock work but there are lots of reddy pink coloured areas which don't protrude if that helps.

I think almost all of mine have red marks on the foot (only have 17)

I went back to the store yesterday and the one in question was gone. I did notice notice the red blotches on some others that were there. The one that I was questioning looked identical to the mertensii that was posted by Phender in his thread here. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=921143&page=4

Post 88 with the nem in the basket looks identical to what I saw at the LFS. Red Verrucae that turn to stripes. At least I know now that there is a chance for it to happen again when they re-stock. And at $40 to hard to let it slip through again.

That nem in the basket looks very different to the 3 mini maxis i have got.
