Stichodactyla Mertensii

I have read quite a few posts, about feeding regimen. Once a week, once every 2 weeks and some don't feed at all and let the Clowns do all the feeding to the anemone. I don't really want fast growth, since these anemones can take over a tank real fast. Any suggestions?

I've had 3. One of them I don't really count because it was extremely bleached and never did well. Of the other two, my previous was a weed and grew quite rapidly before I accidently killed it by dropping one of the rocks it was attached to. My current one eats quite a lot but doesn't grow much. It's currently about 8 inches and has remained that way for some time now.

For anemones, the more you feed the faster they grow until they reach max size for the species

Agree, w/ the exception of BTA's of course which would just split more often.
Light is their main source of energy, and many do not spot feed for reasons you stated.
I still would maybe spot some mysis once in a great while.(If your clowns don't end up doing that themselves which often happens)
Regardless whether you spot feed or not if your tank is healthy enough to sustain it, it will most likely still reach max size, so be prepared.
