Still not sure...Acro Crabs...

Hello.

I've been buying colonies of sps recently, and noticed that I've picked up some hitchhikers.

As I recall, a year ago, I had one of these hitch hikers on a sps that I bought. Well, a after 6 months, he grew to the size of at least 3" wide.

And...I noticed that my fish was all of a sudden disappearing. Could have been the crab, could have not. I couldn't make a conclusion, nor did I ever see a murder in action.

Has anyone had any issues with an acro crab that looks like this?

What kind of damage do these crabs do? Eat fish? Pick at sps polyps?

I agree. You'll find the general consensus in this forum is that furry = BAAAD.
