I keep all my water parameters up to date, i run a good filtration, i keep temp at 75, and have a good sand bed. I have had him for a week. He is eating well from my hand and my tank is a 6ft tank and 2ft wide. he seems very healthy and fine. But their is sand sticking to his coat and i think i see some shedding remains in my sand. My cleaner shrimp loves to clean him, so he stays up to date on his hygiene. I did notice it when i did my first water change with him in the tank. Then the signs sprang up of sand sticking to him and some shedding. I hope he is not sick. I love this guy. Plz help us.:sad2:

The sand sticking to him is nothing to worry about. Are you seeing pieces of his skin or scales in the sand? Are you sure of this? Did you QT? If the stingray is eating well and often you should be fine

The tank is too small. There are too many obstructions in the tank for him to not scrape himself up. This is not the correct set up for a ray.

I'm also not keen on cleaner shrimp. In a small tank they themselves can irritate an unfortunate fish until his skin is raw.
