I am setting up my first saltwater aquarium and am currently in the proses of planning the fish list. I think that i have decided on what i want but i wanted your guys's opinion on it.
The list:
2 Ocellaris Clowns
2 Pajama Cardinals
2 Bangai Cardinals
1 Leopard Wrasse
2 mandarin Dragonets
1 Yellow tang
1 Rega blue tang
1 Flame Angelfish
It is for a 125 gallon tank.
Some people have said that the wrasse might out compete the mandarins for pods. Is this true? Or will i be able to house them together without a problem?

I've never kept bangai and pajama cardinals together for fear that they might fight as they are so much alike.

I would hold off on the mandarin until the tank is at least 6months old and a year is even better. Very finicky eaters.

+1

I would avoid the leopard wrasse as well as they can be very challenging. Fairy and flasher wrasses are much easier to keep. Also, the tank is WAY too small for a blue tang as noted above.

Ok i think i will substitute the blue regal for the kole tang. Will the kole tang and the yellow tang get along?
They should. Try and add them at the same time if you can.

Also, I had a Mandarin starve in my well established 125, due to 2 Leopard Wrasses. Just a word of caution.

I would avoid mixing mandarins and pod picking wrasses.

Banggais can be really mean without showing much warning signs ahead. I would not combine them with other cardinals.
