I just got a new 60gal cube and I don't know what I can or should add in regards to fish. My aquascape is kinda a lopsided semi circle with many in and outs and caves. I'm thinking along the line of one or two open water swimmers and many smaller rock work dwellers. The little hidden gems if I may. So please suggest away. Thanks

i may be selling my candy basslet, he loves caves. to bad you are not closer.

I've had my 60g cube up and running for several months now and currently have the following fish...

* Tank-Bred Kamohara Blenny
* Zebra Moray Eel
* Springer's Damsel

I love and would highly recommend all 3 (I'd try to find a smaller zebra moray though). I also plan on getting a leopard wrasse (Macropharyngodon meleagris), a pair of tank-bred neon gobies, a pair of white bonnet clowns, one of the Wetmorella wrasses, and hopefully a Red Sea mimic blenny if I can get my hands on a decently priced one. Here are some other suggestions...

* Assessors
* Fairy & Flasher Wrasses
* Longspine Cardinals (Zoramia leptacantha)
* Pearly Jawfish
* Orchid, Springer's, Sankey's, or Indigo Dottybacks
* Royal Grammas
* Possum/Pygmy Wrasses (Wetmorella)
* Fang Blennies (Meiacanthus)
* Chrysiptera Damsels (Springer's, Tracey's, Rolland's, Azure, Talbot's etc.)
* Chalk Basses
* White Spotted Pygmy Filefish
* Ecsenius Blennies (Bicolor, Midas, Tailspot, Linear etc.)
* Elacatinus (Cleaner) Gobies (Neon, Sharknose, Goldline etc.)
* Watchman/Prawn Gobies

... Good luck :fish1:

You're going to have those 10 fish in the 6
Cube?

Each species (besides the eel) stays relatively small and occupy different areas of the tank. The skimmer is also much larger than necessary (rated for a 200g tank) and I'm keeping softies, macro algae, and tridacna clams :beer:

Good luck finding a Red Sea Mimic. I haven't seen one in a long time. How is your Kamohara? Mine is totally cool. Always finding oddball locations to hang out in at night.

I know, the last one I saw was from ORA almost 2 years ago if I had to guess :facepalm: I love my kamohara, it's such a beautiful and fascinating fish, loads of personality. A LFS in my area had 6 in stock for around 8 months or so for $24, because people just didn't seem to know what they were looking at. Next time I'm back in the area I'm hoping they still have one left, so that I could hopefully pair it up with the one I have now. He sleeps in this little crack in the queen conch shell I have in the tank, he actually shares the shell with the damsel :beer:

So the eel won't eat any of the smaller fish either?

Xanthid crabs and rock boring urchins make up the bulk of a zebra moray's natural diet. Fish are at no risk, and trust me, if you saw these guy's in action you'd see that they can barely "capture" a raw cocktail shrimp :rolleyes:

Definitely look into possum / pygmy wrasses. Awesome personalities.

Barnacle blennies?

Various goby options.

Assessors or some other basslet?

I have a 65g fowlr with a pair of clowns, pair of white spotted pygmy filefish, pair of neon gobies, royal gramma, firefish, yellow banded possum wrasse. No bioload issues. Never measured nitrates over 5. Planning on 2-3 more fish. Also have 3 shrimp as well.

I just didn't know what would be compatible and what wouldn't aswell like golden assesors royal gammas. A few diff gobies

Could I have a few clown gobies, 2 clown fish, royal gamma, yellow assessor, and a dwarf eel, and a pistol and goby pair and a few blue and yellow and yellow neon gobies?
