stocking an 80g tall corner tank

hi i was looking to stock my tank. it has been running for 2 years now and currently have a pair of white clowns.

what other fish could i keep and would like reef safe fish?

was considering

Hoeven's Wrasse
McCosker's Flasher Wrasse
Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse
Jawfish, Yellowhead
Bristletooth Tomini Tang
Lamarck's Angelfish

any toughts

If the tank is covered and you have a sandbed, the H. melanurus and P. mccoskeri are fine. What are the dimensions of the tank? I am guessing the tank is not wide or deep enough for the C. solorensis, and definitely not the G. lamarck. C. tominiensis may be OK depending on the dimensions.

Also Jawfish in general do not make great reef fish. They make a mess of the tank and cover corals with sand. Fun personalities though.

Does tall mean it's less than 4ft? Either way I would skip the lamark angel but Tomini could work if it's a 4ft tank

yes on the lid and i do have a sand bed about an inch

I know lots of people keep yellow and bristletooth tangs in 60 cubes 24x24x24 and the tangs seem to do "ok". Not something I would personally do but many people do keep them. I personally went for a flameback angel for my standard 60 instead of a bristletooth tang and absolutely love it.

I've been told that flamebacks, if they go after coral, it's usually SPS. They also go after clams. But I took a chance in my SPS dominated tank and no problem so far.

I think that with your tank, Anthias might do well. Easier to make a tall tank lighting not so intense as opposed to shallow ones.

what anthias would you recommend? and as far as lighting i have an a350 tuna kessil

Nice! I have the same lights and cool thing they can be adjusted. I personally would go for Barletts anthias.

i like it just wished i would have waited for the 360 set up since it doesnt have to be manually adjusted lol ... and ok . any other fish you would recommend want to have some color ..my son has been saying "tank is lonely no fish"

I'm a big fan of African Leopard wrasse. You can also try Midas blenny.

i have seen the midas blenny and i do like there color. my tank background is blue so should stand out.

In your dimensions I would skip the tangs.

With the depth you have I think a jawfish would be fine as there probably wont be much coral at the bottom of a 30" deep tank.

IME flamebacks, and most Centropyge angels for that matter, will pick at zoanthids.

The H. melanurus will be fine as will P. mckosker, but C. solorensis may be a little cramped in those dimensions.

Other suggestions are : dispar, ignitus, bicolor, randall's or sunburst anthias, grammistes blenny, flame or longnose hawk, or zebra barred dartfish.

We'll looks like I'm heading in the wrasse direction , they seem to have the most color . With that said is there a certain order I would have to add the wrasse in ?
