We have two highfin redstripe gobies, stonogobios nematodes: Raspberry [the male, we think] and Teacake. Teacake disappeared, and turns out to be living in sin with the yellow watchman.
Raspberry is always up, front and center, eats like a pig, and is stuffing his stomach to the point of pain. Teacake is, however, showing up again, and finally came out for 30 whole seconds to the right side of the rocks. We think perhaps she's having second thoughts about Mr. YWG, and thinking that Raspberry looks better and better.
Seriously---we're really glad to see her show up again: we'd almost given up. She's sharing the YWG burrow. Possibly she finds the near presence of the peppermint shrimp in his usual perch rather homey, but it's my bet she'll go back to Raspberry sooner or later.
