stopped by aquarium creations

I got off early from some work out in Brandon today and saw Aquarium Creations on my way home. I can't resist a LFS so I stopped by. They seemed to have a pretty good selection even though the clerk said they're low on stock on Mondays because the shipments come in on Wednesdays. I didn't see any sick/diseased or dead fish. I didn't see a whole lot of corals or inverts though. The best thing about the place is their 535 gallon display tank with stuff that's not for sale, it has a really big blonde Naso with streamers, a big black durgeon, a big majestic angel, some large hippo tangs and a bunch of others. That Naso was gorgeous, I must have looked at it for 15 minutes, man I want one, lol!!!

This store is a good resource for wet or dry goods. Not a good resource for info IMO, have gotten some flat out wrong ideas from there and their anemones are always stressed like crazy.

I agree with CanadianReef, the place isnt too bad on prices on livestock or dry goods, but i've talked to some of their employees, they have basic knowledge but didnt know tooooo much about certain things, however i didnt encounter any bad or just plain wrong recommendations or statements about the hobby.

Good to know, thanks guys. I didn't really converse with the clerk too much other than small talk. Being new to the hobby, I know to come here first to decde what to buy rather than ask anybody at a LFS, lol. One thing I didn't see was LR anywhere, they did have some really giant long spine urchins in the big tank.

I frequent the place quite alot nice store. Their are a couple of guys that are quite knowledgeable that work their. And a few that no I would not take advise from. None of them as knowledgeable as say John over FAOIS. I was in today and the livestock is pretty low they go out to the farm tomorrow for livestock. And they also get in ORA frags and sell them for a good price. Its not a bad store but not the greatest either.

I think they only have one guy that knows his stuff. Like Gimplar said, everyone else seemed pretty basic. The place is alright. Nice display tanks.

i have shopped at this store and many others over the years and never recived any flat out wrong answers or bad ideas there some times the coral selection is low ,but have also been in there when its packed full ,defently like the selection of ora frags they have had lately
