Strange bonded pair clowns?

I've had a pair of bonded clown(black morph ocellaris) for about a year and I finally bit the bullet and got a BTA. whats weird is that now my ONE clown has hosted with the BTA but the other stays a good distance away. Kind of odd for a pair that hasn't "slept" away from eachother in months. Is this normal behavior or did my clown get a divorce.

One in nem is most likely the fem, she may allow male to come in later.

My male sits in the anem all day the female is only in it for a few minutes a day

I put multiple RBTA's for my onxy pair and they now chill in seperate BTA's.
