Strange Creature in my BioCube

Hey Gang:

Tonight after turning my night lights on a strange creature appeared. I have only had my tank five weeks. It has cycled but I only have one anemome, four turob snails and for others (not sure of names). Tonight my daughter notice the approximate three by two inch creature on the tank wall. It looked like a large snail without a shell. However, we accounted for all the snails in the tank. This thing was grey on top with several lumps and white on the botton,. He crawled like a snail but faster. He then moved across the sand and over the live rock with ease. What is this thing. I certainly don't want to place anything in the tank until I know. This thing must have shrunk and remained hidden until tonight. Any ideas. I hope to take a picture for you guys.

Thank:eek2:s

aHHH FLATWORM

Went on You Tube and discover this succer is a flatwork. Are the bad and how do I get rid of him. So, far I only have snails. One anenome. How did he get into my tank?

Thanks:eek2:

Did you google stomatella snail? I've never seen a flatworm the color/shape that you described. And just like any other creature you didn't put in your tank, it hitchhiked in on something you did put in your tank, like rock.

Thanks

Thanks

I'll try to get a pic. He's back into hiding. Yes, he looked like the polyclad flat worm when googled. I only have one anenome thus far. I'll not put anything else in the tank until catch him. How do I get him to come out of hiding?

Thanks

They're nocturnal, so you'll have to do some late night hunting. It won't bother your anemone, their main diet is snails/clams.

i'd be worried about your anemone if your tank is only 5 weeks old. is it something you bought at your local fish store or something you just "found" on your live rock? anemone's are not easy creatures to care for and require a mature tank of 6 months to a year.
