Strange spots on Naso

Can anyone tell me what's going on here? I have never seen this before. The spots are uniform on this naso that I added yesterday. Noticed them last night, then they were gone and now back again. No signs of distress, not being bothered at all.

It's a common stress reaction in these fish.

Thank you for your reply. I have never had a naso before. I have a ton of rock and it is not being bothered. so hopefully, it goes away!

How big is the tank? Is it possible that there are too many rocks and that it can't swim as freely as it would like to?

I do believe it's a natural stress response. The tank is a 120.

Probably ok for now, but it will outgrow that tank eventually. I hope you have plans for when it gets too big.

I learn something new here everyday.
Mine did this a couple years ago when I added a Powder Blue, but before I could worry about it, it cleared up.
It never re-appeared and I had almost forgotten about it til I saw your pics.

The young ones do this all the time. Larger ones not so much.
