Strawberrry Crabs

I saw some awsome looking Strawberry crabs. I was wondering if anyone had any info on these cool creatures. I did a google and yahoo search for the crab and no body really has anything about them. Oh yeah ive been getting result that there a hermit crab (which what I saw wasnt). So anybody. Of course the crab could be mislabed

Saltwaterfish.com says that they are reef safe. I bought one. I saw him maybe once after I bought it. I thought $19.99 was a little to pricey for a crab that never comes out. About a year later, I moved a couple rocks around and found what appeared to be his "lair". He had gotten really big and there were a lot of empty snail shells outside his hole. Mind you, I did not see him kill any snails, but did look somewhat suspicious. He died about six months later.

I have one. He stays in the rockwork all day, ventures out at night feeding on algea and left over food that might of settled to the bottom. Think he might be the culprit of a few dead emerald crabs! I believe they are from the same species of the emerald?

No true crab is reliably reef-safe, but if you make a species tank or are willing to deal with the losses, it might make a fine pet.

I have one....He hides all day in the rock work and comes out at night. I don't think he is worth the money.
