Stream Fishcare Function

I believe it rotates the propeller at a very slow rpm to prevent critters from getting into pump when its off.

Yes, it turns the pump 1 time every 20seconds to keep animals from going in while it is off for foodtimer or tide modes.

Is this new driver released? I am ordering 2-6000's and would rather get the latest motor driver.

Yes, unless they are older stock they are the new driver 7240.270 which came out about a month ago.

Roger, will the box or manual that comes with the pumps indicate if they have the new fishcare driver ?.

Roger,

Is there any way to upgrade to the new drivers? If so what would the cost be? i bought my streams in May.

Thanks,
Chad

Yes you can upgrade, I don't really think I would simply because the drivers cost $91 and for the price of two of them you could almost get the 7095 which will have a program called Interval II which is like tide mode on the present controller but the pumps that would be off on the current tide mode just idle at 30% of power so you get a imilar protetion and I think it is money better spent. We are also working on a mechanical shutter system which hopefully will be out next year and that will be much cheaper- likely under $20. Fish Care was a feature we added when we upgraded the drivers specifically so the 6200 could be built. It had to be redesigned to better dissipate heat and handle more current. We just figured we would add this program while we are at it but there will be other options later to do the same thing.

Thanks again Roger,

I was planning on waiting for the 7095, this just gives me one more reason too wait it out. Do you have an approximate availability date for the 7095?

Chad
