Stream Mounting to an AGA

Just got my stream kit 6010 yesterday. For some reason my mounting accessory 3000.244 did not come with it. I talked to the vendor and there was a mix up, and I'll get it in about a week. Anyhow, as impatient as I am, I looked at mounting it anyhow. I have an AGA 90gal reef readay, and to be honest it looks like the supplied mount is sufficient. I have mounted the rail and it seems quite sturdy. Am I asking for trouble here? Can the Stream be mounted with the supplied mounting.

It can be mounted to the overflows, otherwise it will not mount to the trim if it is properly assembled. I don't know about asking for trouble because at worse it will just look bad and it would annoy me if I saw it put together wrong, unless you plan on inviting me over, if it seems sturdy and looks good to you I see no problems.

That's just it. I mounted it to the trim following the exact instructions for a horizontal mount. The trim on my AGA has .5" lip that can support the rail mount. My concern was wether or not it that half inch would provide enough support, or that it was enough of a grip for the mount. For now, I'm leaving the pump high on the mount which puts less stress on it. When I get the accessory kit, I'll probably move it down a little.

As long as you bring beer, feel free to stop by anytime ;)

Ahh, you used the bracket for horizontal bracing. This is OK but clamping all the way across the trim is far more stable.
