I just ordered 2 6000 and a 7095 controller today. I have mostly lps now but am trying my luck with sps currently. I am kinda worried that I bought the wrong ones from the sound of this thread. What do you mean that you can just upgrade the transformer to throttle up the 6000 instead of getting 6100's? I am totally lost with these products. I just ordered them today from a lfs and will be geting them tomorrow. Please clarify!

I just purchased 2 6000 and a 7095 controller. I want sps but have mostly lps. what are you guys talking about getting something different to make them faster like a 6100. Sorry, product is totally new to me. I haven't even set mine up yet.

I don't know the details myself, only that the 6000's can be upgraded to be the equivalent of 6100's. I know, that's not much help, but...

Roger' Vitko, who's the real expert on the topic, has been monitoring this thread and will hopefully chime in on your question. If not, I suggest simply opening a new thread with your question and I'm sure he'll give you all the details you need.

The only difference between a 6000 and a 6100 is one uses 11V and the other 19V, changing the transfromer upgrades the 6000. Vinny, if this is for a 100g it should be OK, it is mainly a problem for Euphyllias, their long flowing polyps don't extend in high flow.

Gotcha! Thanks for the info. I thought that is all that you would change is the supply. I just got mine today from md and I cant set them up fast enough. Gonna read first then take my time. Any suggestions for a newb to this setup?
