Stream Pumps and Clams

Hi Folks

I have a 280 gallon (72X30X30) SPS dominated reef with the TS/24 stream kit and 2 Gen-X Mak 4 pumps for circulation. I would like to add some clams to the system but was concerned about the amount of flow. Will clams do OK in a tank with this much flow. What are your experiences out there. Any clams that do better in high flow tanks than others.

Thanks,

Andy

If you look at a given batch of wild collected Maximas. You will see some that are smooth and flat- surf and wave pounded. You will also see those that have a relatively normal shell with the scutes and dentition intact. Realistically the flow from the two Streams is calm by ocean standards. These things obviously survive far worse. I don't see a problem.
