Stream use experience question

The Vortecs report a heavy "undertow" pulling towards them when they are running. I ahve seen this in action on our tank. The smallest Stream has at least as much flow as the maximum Vortec. Why is the "undertow" not as evident or reported on a Stream ? Or did I just miss it in the various posts about Stream experiences. I am asking because we are considering switching to Tunzes and had wondered about this particular topic between the two of them.

I am not sure what cause this difference but I would speculate it is a function of the intake/outlet housing. We designed the Stream to minimize such suction with a broader intake area, we took this approach to minimize the risk to fish, the intake area is larger with smaller inlets so it is diffused over a greater area.
