I personally prefer the Tunze to a closed loop, you get a lot more varied flow with control over it and all this with a lot less power usage. The wavebox and 2 6100 would be awesome for a mixed reef, the wavebox by itself would not get the detruis in the water colum but the combo would be awesome.

would two 6200's be to much for the tank with the two eductors on the return.. or would that be good.. nothing else....

Check with Roger in the Tunze forum. He'll give you a straight answer without trying to sell you anything.

its my understanding that the wavebox doesnt (or maybe isnt) meant to work on its own as the sole source of flow... the wavebox moves the column but you still need to push flow through the tank.

at least thats how I remember it. There is an opinion from every angle on the streams, but I like mine. I would do it again too. Personally I dont see them as overpriced for their capability but most arguments seem to spark over price so you have to go at it as you will.

I'd recommend the streams.

i think the option 5 is mine now.. or well i guess option 2 then add streams if i ever find the money or two seio 2600's... i think the CL with iwaki 70 and penductors are a little much...
