string hanging from fish????

Ok im very new to this hobby. Can someone tell me why sometimes my flame angel has a 2-3 inch string hanging from it. I have heard rumors that it could be overfeeding?? Not sure if its a bad thing or not

Stringy poo can be indicative of internal parasites. The fish should be dewormed.

Is it common for one fish to have it but the others not to??

It's not like an external parasite... it doesn't necessarily spread to other fish, but can.
