Stringy poop?

I bought a pair of ocellaris clowns 2 days ago and today they didn't eat voraciously like clowns are known for. They peck at maybe 5 pellets of Ocean Nutrition pellets. One of them has long stringy clear/white poop kinda like a spider web strand. What can this mean?

If they are wild caught, it could suggest a parasite. A good percentage of wild caught clownfish have parasites. I suggest you get a copy of Joyce Wilkerson"s book Clownfish and look up info. about diseases.

I was reading a section on fish channel.com, if a fish has stringy poop, it said the fish is constipated. My coral beauty is the same way, but its been that way now for about a year, Im feeding it the proper foods, but the poop is still stringy.
