I have tested for strontium twice now once about 10 month ago and once this week both test results were 0-3ppm of strontium, thatââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s as low as my Salifert kit goes.
So I assume this is an Oceanic salt issue. I have used Oceanic from day one. Some corals grow very fast some grow extremely slow. I have very little, compared to some, coralline growth. I use a calcium reactor with ARM media my levels are below.
Temp = 79-80f
Ph = 8.1 night 8.3day
Calcium = 430-440ppm
Alk = 8.8 - 9dkh
Magnesium = 1350ppm
Strontium = 0-3ppm
Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢m going to start dosing strontium to get it to 15ppm, to see what happens.
Anyone else use Oceanic salt and dose or not dose strontium? Have you had similar observations?
