Beautiful hybrid! It was surprising to me how well are SW hybrids received by the hobby (compared to their FW counterparts).

Ive never kept FW fish but I assume thats because they are hybrids 'created' in captivity.

This fish as with all but one hybrid Im aware of are all Mother Natures work

You raise a good point - didn't think of it until you mentioned it. But it does have some blue around the eye, which the Eibli does not?

A xanthic fish would not have such a black tail, and a much more uniform yellow color overall.

Let me just call up the factory and see if they can make me one in 'Xanthic', maybe with some cornflower blue highlights.
