Yes...I just use regular super glue (gel) from Walmart. It works fine with no side effects. I only frag a few things at a time. I have hearh that if you use a lot of it in a smaller system at one time that it can cause a slight chemical imbalance. But that would be a lot.
+1, I switched after the two part epoxy kept making my hammer coral slime for hours. I have a small system and have no reaction when gluing several frags down with the super glue gel.
My best advice is to do all your glueing outside the tank if you can. Like with frags...if you can get the plugs ready first by putting the glue drop on the plug and.let it dry a little. Then frag your coral, dry the tip you're gluing, then place it in the already half dried gel...it'll speed up the cure time. Also adding a drop of tank water with your finger tip to the glue seems to help speed it up as well.
Similar with gluing in the tank...frag your coral, add some glue to the dried end and let it set up a bit...then when its almost dry you can place it in the tank and it usually cures a little faster. Less time on your fingers is always better for the coral.
Super glue from Walmart or the dollar store has worked fantastic for me. Ive glued well over 200 frags with it so far and haven't notice any issues with it affecting corals or the tank. Be sure to buy more then what you need because if you frag on a regular basis you will use it quickly imo.
