Stupid RO question...

I just picked up my first RO/DI unit and I'm trying to swap out the blue pure water tube with a 30' long tube. I don't know how to release the tube from the compression fitting. My Aquamaxx unit has a blue half ring that appears to lock in something. I popped the ring off but can't figure out how to release either the blue tube or fitting.

Help??

Normally you push the ring in all the way and pull the tube out. There shouldn't be anything to remove.

That might be why there is a little blue ring, to prevent you from accidently pushing the tube in. I will try pushing the ring in and pulling the tube out.
