Submersible LEDs?

I horse traded for a used AP24. I want to run chaeto in the overflow, and have checked different options.

I currently have x2 @ 5w submersible bulbs, but would like to switch over to LEDs when the warmer weather comes around. Obviously, they would have to be the right kelvin rating.

Any help out there? TIA!

Most people just peel the adhesive backing off the back wall behind one of the chambers and use an external light source.

That's what this guy did. I did not like the look -- All tore up. I plan to put this in my office someday, so I don't want it lookin' all mad scientist. That's why I planned to paint the back and use a submersible light.

I just hope you dont miss your horse :D
Some day I need to come back over and check out your tank collection, its constantly growing.

Ha! KMP, that 10w version is the same one I got, different vendor! "FL02" -- Have you seen good chaeto growth using this light?

Thanks everybody.

kevin, you can buy the LEDs they use in the new solaris lights for around 6 dollars each. But you have to purchase a controller to power them which is around 30 bucks. I dont know what kind of cash your looking to put into the tank, just an idea. I have been researching them to put over my custom pico tank. just google luxeon k2. VERY BRIGHT! if i remember, they are 10k.
