substrate for octos

after some observation, i decided it may be beneficial to put a softer substrate in my bimac tanks to increase their activity level. i was wondering, since i have eight seperate octos to clean every other day, if there was a nice soft substrate that is easy to clean, with minimal dust. something with a larger grain size would be ideal. thanks

Well, it'll get sucked right up most gravel vaccuums, but if you've got a good janitorial staff you shouldn't have issues (octo-friendly echinoderms; also many crabs and snails are happy to clean your tank while they wait to be eaten).
