Success Rate of Multi Occi pairs in one tank?

Hey All,

Like the rest of you.. I really enjoy my clowns. I am working on a new tank (~225G) and am wondering how likely it is that I can add more than two and be successful.

Here is my vision: I would like to introduce 3 pairs of juvi ORA tank raised ocellaris... 2 Regular, 2 Nakeds, and 2 B&Ws. I would probably already have BTA's in the tank so they can (hopefully) immediately find a home.

I have read JHardman's guide: http://archive.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=245520

and found multiple little pieces of information (ie from liveaquaria - "If introduced to the aquarium at the same time, many varieties of tank raised clowns can be maintained together in the aquarium.")

And of course I have seen Mobert's thread about 27 clowns in the same tank (magnificent...)

If I do everything right... how likely would I be to succeed in what I am trying to do? I understand we can't control nature or exactly predict... but from community experience, can I get a ballpark estimate?

thanks in advance

I can't say for certain that it wont work but I've heard more stories of it not working then of it working. Mobert's fish were all from the same clutch and I'm positive that was a huge factor along with all of the BTAs.

To give you a territory estimate, my small female maroon will patrol the whole length of my 45 gallon tank and the lfs I go to has a maroon that had to be removed from a 300. She would claim about a third of the tank and go after anything that came in her turf

I have 2 breeding pairs in my 220. They seem to get along for the most part until there are eggs layed then they stay close to the nest and occasional fin nip.
