Heads up, doing a weekly routine maintenance i noticed ~8 ppm nitrate in tank and some cyano (just a little patch in the center of tank), i tested the outflow of denitrifier and it was coming out at ~5 ppm, i looked inside reactor and found it had a white film covering the sponge and outlet, i decided to take it apart and clean it out, i only cleaned the white film, sponge, tubing, ball valve and top layer of media, i hooked it back up and will test tonite and tomorrow to see if it cycled or worked right away.
BTW when i opened the reactor there was no foul smell, no rotten egg smell or nothing, it actually smelled a little like sea water or fish food. I will post results later.
