He was first so kind to offer me to purchase some fish of his order. He then proceeded to ask me for payment, when i gladly offered to pay the online store directly, he started to threaten to take me off his order if i did not pay him direct. He had fish that died on a previous order so i assume perhaps he had store credit, witch would be fine and i would pay him directly, he then replied by stating that he would buy the fish regardless of my decision, which was fine but done so in a very rude manner. What started off as a nice gesture make me believe he is not a pleasant person to work with and would refrain from buying anything from him.
 
i can call ocean gallery today or tomorrow, and send them payment. Where do you live btw? and whats your phone number?-ME

Dan if you do it that way, you'll probably end up paying shipping so you might as well have them shipped to your door. Free shipping is on orders $250-$300, will double check Friday but if that's the case your order won't fall into that catagory and they are going to charge shipping. My order will qualify for free shipping on it's own so I'm not benefiting by adding yours to mine but you can get your pair shipped free if I order them. Let me know what you want to do but I'm starting to think it may be easier for me to just go it alone.

Dan sorry for the misunderstanding but I wasn't doing a group buy.
I'm placing an order for some juv onyx, I expect this order to meet any free shipping limit but I won't know for sure until I talk to them again. I thought you would prepay me as I'll have to pay for the fish when I order and if you don't want to do that, that's fine.
I can do as I originally planned.
 
sounds like he was doing you a favor and didn't really need you on the order Dan, i can understand why he won't want to mess around with someone else's set of rules when he doesn't need your order...maybe just a miscommunication...relax, have a beer.

He didnt sound rude at all, I think he was just being honest when he said "t I'm starting to think it may be easier for me to just go it alone".

Im sure its a misunderstanding. I also think you should of tried working it out with him before calling him out on it.
 
+4. I see him doing nothing out of the norm there, and saying nothing "rude" in the slightest....

I've dealt with him before and he couldnt be nicer. I've had to practically force money into his pockets before since he wouldnt take any money for the stuff I was getting from him.

Every group buy Ive been in was done the way he speaks of. Everyone pays one person and they get all the items then give them out. The only place that allows everyone to order their own that I've seen is BRS.....
 
Guess just me feeling uncomfortable felt like he didn't want me in on it from the start. With out contatc number or adress can't paypall anyone cash, don't see why paying the store directly cause any grief. Just felt like a hassle when need not be? Hey if it was just me ill accept it, just did not feel right when I I could not just pay them direct
 
Sullyman has always been wonderful to deal with and very generous with any dealings I have had with him. I have also heard this from many others. Don't read too much into it...
 
+6 he is a great guy ive dealt with him before i think you should of clarified everything with him before calling him out like that. not cool at all i say you try contacting him again and try to work things out and apologize to him for trying to give him a bad rep
 
i agree with everyone, only place i know that you can do it the way you want would be BRS. Too quick to call someone out on a public forum. IBTL

hey man i dont want you to feel like we are all ganging up on you, its just i really cant see bob screwing someone over. he has always been a straight up guy with me at least but who know what everyone else's experience is with him. im going to a bar in a bit ill have a few for you too lol.
 
No not at all man i appreciate it, just acted on the moment as i usually do. Misunderstandings happen all the time, i guess if mods can close this down that would be good. Puts my mind at ease
