Sump Question on a RSM 250

Having a RSM 250, as most know, those sumps are pretty limited (only holds 10 gallons). I've been debating between adding rock rubble or sand into the sump. Although adding rock displaces water, which I dont know if that is a good thing? I also dont know if sand would be good or if I should just leave it as is..

What are your thoughts on either adding rock or sand into the sump and will it have any benefit?

Likely not worth the effort..

What problem are you trying to solve?

Since I cant have a "real" sump, just thinking of different ways I can try to help the tank out, nutrient export, more rock or sand for filtration, etc...

Honestly this was a great starter tank... I now wish I would of went to a standard tank where I can have it plumbed for a sump to grow cheato, sand bed, etc...

Well look at it this way, you now know your upgrade plan. :spin1:

With a sump that small, I wouldn't bother. Your probably not going to get enough of either in there to really make much of a difference.
