Sunlight Supply T5 Retrofit System & Kit Question

Hi guys,

I'm planning on upgrading my lighting system to T5s. Has anyone put together the Sunlight Supply T5 Retrofit System & Kit? If so, is there any additional parts I need to buy to complete it?

Thanks in advance,
German

I added a Tek t5 retrokit kit to canopy they come complete to wire up a fixture but you will need a way to mount fixture to you canopy or a hanger kit. Also if what to swtich on and off you will need to add a switch to do so.

So, its a couple of screws to attach the reflectors to the canopy and a light timer to be able to turn the T5s on and off? If I read the last post correctly.

Thanks in advance,
German

that is correct. the kit hard wire the encaps to ballast and ballast to 120 VAC outlet. U Just need to figure how to mount reflector to canopy

Sorry guys but thats incorrect. You use a couple of screws to mount the endsocket/caps with standoffs to your canopy, the reflectors merely attach with a clip onto the bulb itself.

The only thing I would be prepared to have to complete the project would be wood screws for the stand-offs and zipties(to keep wires neat) and staplegun or other securing hardware/tool for loose or hanging wires. Otherwise comes complete :)

Been so lazy about it that I still haven't painted it...and for the most part the lid stays off anyways...I'm one of those people who can't keep thier hands out of the tank...so it stays off...lol
