Sunpod 70W users?

Well, I finally bit the bullet and ordered the sunpod 70 watt for my 9 gallon. I am curious as to what the overall height is with the legs on. The stand I'm using (which is actually a wine stand) limits me as to the overall clearance I can have with this light.

I'd really appreciate it if someone who is using this light with the legs could measure the overall height with the legs.

Thanks,
Stephanie

I've been told that it is 5 1/4". The reason I wanted to know is because I have my 8 gallon on my kitchen counter and only have 6 inches of clearance from the cabinets and contemplated ordering this light.

Thanks beetlejuice. If it's only 5 1/4" then I'll be fine. I've actually got 8" of clearance, but didn't even think of that until after I had already ordered the light.

Just a little over 6"s from where it sits on the tank.
HTH

Thanks. I'll have enough clearance :)

The tank is only 9 gallons, from what the post says. The 150w is a 20" fixture and would probably look funny on that tank. The 70w comes in 16" and 20".

That is the exact reason I went with the 70w as opposed to the 150. I just couldn't get past the fact that the 20" fixture was going to look funny on the tank. Actually, even the 16 will stick out about 1" on each end, but I can live with that.

This is going to end up being a 9 gallon main tank with a 2.5 gallon refuguim that will sit above it. I realize that with 70watts I'm limiting myself, to some extent, on what I can keep as far as sps. Maybe some monti cap and digitata at the top and some zoo's and polyps at the bottom.

Right now the tank has been up about 5 weeks and only has few corals (gsp, zoo's, and a very small toadstool) and a clownfish. I'll post a pic so you can see what I'm talking about.
