Sunpower vs Powermodule Reflectors

Bought a used 8 bulb 24 watt Sunpower, the reflectors are okay but not in 100% shape, maybe 80%? I figure I might just replace the set.

The cost for the Sunpower reflectors seem to be the same as the Powermodule reflectors, is it worth going for the powermodule versions and do I need to make any mods to it or are they out of the box compatible?

Assuming they are compatible I would suggest the PM ones as they are a true parabolic reflector where as the SP have bends in them to make them as close as possible to parabolic reflector. I can't imagine why they wouldn't fit fine but there are exterior differences between the two (curved vs beveled outside) so perhaps internally there is a reason for this, or maybe its just because it looks nicer! I feel this is going to be one of those things you'll just have to try and see for yourself.

One thing to keep in mind as well, does the reflector appeared to be damaged (bent/warped) ? or is some of the silver coating just warn off? I've seen graphs of some pretty messed up ATI reflectors and they still work almost just as good as brand new. You have to keep in the mind that the shape of reflector is more important than the reflectors coating, hence why the PM is better than the SP.
